The Bridgeport Middle School is collecting the soda can tabs for cancer. All you have to do is pull the tab of the can before recycling the can and when you collect several then turn them in to Ms. Gilbert. A donation is made for every gallon jug collected to Hope Lodge. The school collected several gallons of these in the past in honor of the Pisgah student who had cancer. We would like to continue helping with this worthy cause. Thank you for your help.

 There are several ways the pop tabs are used.

 When we take them to Hope Lodge, they are redeemed so the facility can purchase needed items to run the lodge in either Birmingham or New Orleans.

Loving people in Scottsboro are collecting and delivering to St. Jude's in Kelsie Teal's (SHS student) honor right now. She has been diagnosed with   leukemia. I think St.Jude's is using the pop tabs in this manner: for every gallon collected, the cost of a treatment is dropped-no matter what age or insurance company.
